Health InsuranceHealth care in the United States is expensive, and health insurance is necessary to protect students in case of more serious problems.  All Marquette students with F-1 and J-1 visa status are required to have acceptable health insurance throughout their period of studies.  Marquette University has established a student insurance program for its international students, and students will be covered under this plan beginning with their entry to the United States with a Marquette Form I-20 or DS-2019. Transfer student coverage begins when the student transfers to Marquette. Payment for the health insurance will be charged directly to your student account

More information about health insurance will be provided during the orientation session and is also available at www.marquette.edu/oie/healthinsurance.shtml.

Health Records and Immunizations

Marquette requires all newly admitted or readmitted students to submit proof of immunizations using your CheckMarq student account. Please submit the required information about your immunizations and health history to the Marquette Student Health Service before you arrive at Marquette. Information and instructions on how to submit your health records are available at the Student Health Service website.

We strongly encourage you to obtain all required immunizations before arriving at Marquette. Immunizations will be available, if necessary, at the Marquette Student Health Service after you arrive at Marquette, but additional fees may be charged. The university will suspend course registration if this information is not submitted. If you have questions about health care or immunizations you can contact Student Health Services at 414-288-7184.
