Students who complete some post-secondary studies at a qualifying institution in the United States or another country before enrolling at Marquette may receive transfer credit that counts those studies toward their Marquette degrees. Transfer credit may also be granted for special higher-level studies that some students complete during their final years of secondary school as in the Advanced Placement (APl), the A-level, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.
Transfer credit is decided after an applicant’s admission decision.
To receive transfer credit from universities outside the United States, a credential evaluation must be completed by the Office of International Education (OIE). To complete the evaluation OIE needs to receive:
- Official academic results listing dates of study, courses taken, grades/marks received. Note: Attested copies accepted
- Official, exact English translation of academic records (if not issued in English)
- Course descriptions (in English) of all courses taken.
