A primary purose of the FAD is to aquire and maintain accurate information about faculty's professional achievements and experiences to be used in activities including: accreditation, indentifying opportunities for scholarly collaboration, recruiting graduate and undergraduate students, and creating periodic reports of faculty scholarly work.
Additionally, use of the FAD will reduce the number of requests that faculty members, departments and colleges receive regarding the same data about their professional activities as well as the accuracy and consistency of the information that is reported.
