Scholarship gifts honoring Marquette's Wild may surpass $30M
Marquette University officials estimate more than $30 million in scholarship funds have been donated in honor of retiring president Rev. Robert Wild, S.J. The university will honor Wild's leadership during a ceremony at the Bradley Center Thursday, June 16.

Marquette Law Review finds Supreme Court referring to dictionaries more
A study conducted by The Marquette Law Review found that chief justices have used dictionaries in the courtroom nearly 300 times in the past decade to define various terms. Authors of the study urged justices to explain "when and how dictionaries should be used, how a specific dictionary should be chosen, and how to use a dictionary for interpretation."

Imaging breakthrough provides unprecedented view of human eye
A team of researchers from Marquette University, Rochester, and the Medical College of Wisconsin are the first to see images of the light-sensing cells in human eyes known as rods. The breakthrough allows scientists to see the eye's cellular structure in unprecedented detail and will help doctors diagnose degenerate eye disorders sooner. Robert Cooper, a doctoral student, was a co-author of the study.
