Marqeutte Law School Conference on Health Care Fraud

Fraud is a major contributor to the rising cost of health
care in this country. This preventable expense is a concern
to businesses and governments alike as those costs are passed
on to the general public in higher costs of services and increased
insurance premiums. Marquette University Law School will host
a conference to examine the issue of health care fraud on
Sept. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hyatt Regency in downtown
Milwaukee .
Conference speakers will discuss the latest trends in policy
and litigation of health care fraud. Presenters will include:
- Marquette University Law Professors Alison Barnes, Edward
Fallone and Michael McChrystal
- Boden Research Fellow Ramesh C. Sachdeva, M.D.
- Steven M. Biskupic, United States Attorney for the eastern
district of Wisconsin
- Marc J. Marotta, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department
of Administration
- Richard Smith, deputy chief, fraud section, criminal division
of the United States Department of Justice in Washington
D.C.
- Jon Vice, Chief Executive Officer of Children's Hospital
and Health Care System
