MARQUETTE STUDENTS AND FACULTY TO GATHER FOR 'DEBATE WATCH' ON CAMPUS
Released: 2/11/04

*Student/Faculty Interview Opportunity*

This weekend Wisconsin will be the focus of the presidential political world as campaigning heats up for the Wisconsin Primary election on Tuesday. On Sunday, February 15th , Marquette is hosting a debate between the Democratic presidential candidates.

Seating for the debate is extremely limited so Marquette students and faculty will gather for “DebateWatch 2004,” a simulcast of the debate in the Weasler Auditorium.

Students will be given scorecards to rate the performance of the candidates on a variety of issues. Following the debate, faculty members from the Departments of Economics, Political Science and Theology and the Colleges of Communication and Nursing, as well student representatives from the College Republicans and College Democrats, will hold a panel discussion to analyze the debate.

*This is a great opportunity for any media looking for student or faculty expert interviews*
