Dust Off Your Dancing Shoes!
Marquette to Host Eighth Annual Senior Citizens'
Prom

Senior citizens from area nursing homes have been invited
to dance the day away with Marquette students, faculty, and
staff at the eighth annual Senior Citizens' Prom. The
event will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2005 from 2-4 p.m.
in the Alumni Memorial Union's Marquette Place at 1442 W.
Wisconsin Ave. The prom's theme is "Springtime
in Paris" and will feature jazz music, dancing, socializing,
and snacks.
This event is sponsored by Marquette University's Center
for Community Service. Last year approximately 120 student
volunteers and 80 senior citizens participated in the Senior
Citizens' Prom.
This event is free and open to the public. Media can
park in Parking Structure 1, located at 749 N. 16th St. or
in Parking Structure 2, located at 1240 W. Wells St. Street
parking is also available along Wells Street on the north
side of the union.
