MILWAUKEE – Tonight, the College Democrats of Marquette University
will host a live satellite broadcast to the Democratic National
Convention in Boston. The college students will gather to watch
coverage of the convention on TV screen's at The Annex, 804 N.
16 th Street, from 7 – 10 pm, and will periodically be featured
to give their thoughts about the democratic process and the importance
of getting involved in this year's presidential election.
The broadcast, which will be done from only a handful of select
college campuses nationwide, will be featured live tonight at
the convention in Boston's Fleet Center as the large screens on
the convention floor “cut in” to scenes at Marquette and the other
campuses throughout the prime time coverage. Local media are invited
to talk to the students about their involvement in this year's
convention.
