MILWAUKEE – Marquette University is pleased to
present Norby Williamson, Senior Vice President and Managing Editor
of ESPN, as the 2004
Pete and Bonnie Axthelm Memorial Program Lecturer at 7 p.m.
on Wednesday, September 22, 2004.
As senior vice president and managing editor at ESPN, Williamson
is responsible for the day-to-day content of all news and information
programming as well as ESPNEWS, the nation's only 24-hour television
sports news service.
Williamson also provides leadership and editorial direction for
major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World
Series, MLB All-Star game, Stanley Cup Final, the Final Four,
golf's four major championships, BCS national championship, the
Indianapolis 500, Triple Crown and championship boxing.
