Milwaukee Jesuit elected
to serve on
Board of Trustees for Scranton University

Fred Zagone, S.J. has been elected to a three-year term on The
University of Scranton's Board of Trustees. Fr. Zagone is the
assistant to the vice president for University Advancement at
Marquette. He was previously the director of development for the
recently completed John P. Raynor, S.J., Library on the Marquette
campus, and has also served as a fund-raiser for Marquette 's
University Ministry program.
"After being away from Scranton for several years, I am
very happy to be returning to the campus in this capacity,"
said Fr. Zagone.
Zagone holds degrees from the University of San Francisco, Loyola
University in Chicago, and the Weston Jesuit School of Theology
in Cambridge, Mass. He has worked in various administrative positions
at Loyola University Chicago, Xavier University in Cincinnati
and The University of Scranton, where he was formerly a residence
hall counselor, senior development officer, and regional development
director. Zagone entered the Chicago Province of the Society of
Jesus in 1982, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1993.
