MARQUETTE ATHLETICS RALLYING SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE

MILWAUKEE – Marquette Athletics is asking its many fans to help continue Marquette 's mission of service to the community. The Women in Support of Marquette Athletics are sponsoring the 3rd Annual Children's Book Drive. Fans are asked to contribute a new or “gently used” children's book that will be donated to inner-city Milwaukee schools and organizations serving children. Books can be dropped off at the following locations:

• Marquette 's Men's Basketball Game : February 14 at the Bradley Center. Collection bins will be at each door.
  
• Barnes & Noble at Mayfair Mall: From February 9 to Saturday, February 21 Barnes & Noble at Mayfair mall will have collection bins in its store. A 10% discount on children's books is available to all customers who donate the book to the book drive. This is only at the Mayfair Mall location.
  
• The Snappy Turtle: 1350 W. Mequon Road . Books can be dropped off the week of February 9.

Joani Crean, wife of Marquette Men's Basketball Coach Tom Crean, and Gwen Cords, wife of Marquette Athletics Director Bill Cords, are spearheading this event.
