Marquette to Celebrate Christmas Season with Annual Tree Lighting and Blessing Released: Dec. 6, 2005 MILWAUKEE – Marquette University will mark the Christmas season with its annual tree lighting and blessing by President Robert A. Wild, S.J., called Miracle on Central Mall. Other speakers will reflect on the meaning of Christmas and the Marquette chorus will perform. The event is open to the public. The event takes place in front of St. Joan of Arc Chapel, behind Raynor Library.  Students, faculty and staff also will bring ornaments for the Miracle tree and monetary donations to benefit local charities.
