Both traditional and international fare will honor the holiday at Marquette
Released: Nov. 22, 2005
MILWAUKEE – Volunteers will serve Thanksgiving dinner to more than 300 members of the Marquette community Thursday, including international students and those not able to travel home for the holiday. The celebration will include fish, rice and vegetables along with the more traditional Thanksgiving fare of turkey, stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie.
The dinner is sponsored by University Ministry with the help of Sodexho Food Service and the Office of Residence Life. It is served in memory of Fr. William McEvoy, S.J., who first provided this annual dinner for students during the 1950's in the basement of the Dental School building.
Dinner will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Schroeder Hall dining room. For information on Thursday, please contact Fr. Doug Leonhardt at 313-8646.
