McGuire, written by renowned sportscaster and multiple
Emmy-Award winner Dick Enberg, is a deeply moving tribute
to sports legend Al McGuire that shares memories of his long
time colleague and close friend. The play revisits Al's
inimitable wit and wisdom, as we listen to him reminisce about
his life from the streets of Brooklyn to his days at Marquette
and his travels as a sportscaster. Enberg's play reminds
us once again why the philosophy of this one, uncommonly funny
and profound man, had such an important and lasting impact
on so many.
Distinguished actor and Milwaukee resident Cotter Smith will
portray McGuire. Smith's acting credits include films such
as K-9, Blood Feud and X2: X-Men United as well as the Fox
