Marquette Hosts Ninth Annual
Senior Citizens’ Prom

MILWAUKEE – Senior citizens from area nursing homes will dance under the spotlight with Marquette students, faculty, and staff at the ninth annual Senior Citizens' Prom Sunday, March 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union Ballroom. Senior stars will walk the red carpet with this year’s prom theme, "Hollywood and Broadway," as they will celebrate the glamour of the entertainment industry with music, dancing, socializing, and snacks.
The event is sponsored by the Marquette University Center for Community Service. Last year approximately 140 student volunteers and 80 senior citizens participated in the Senior Citizens' Prom.
This event is free and open to the public. Media can park in Parking Structure 1, located at 749 N. 16th St. or in Parking Structure 2, located at 1240 W. Wells St. Street parking is also available along Wells Street on the north side of the union.
