Marquette alumnae business leaders to discuss work-life balance

‘CEO of Everything’ panel is part of university’s Centennial Celebration of Women

MILWAUKEE – Four Marquette University alumnae business leaders will lead a luncheon panel titled “The CEO of Everything: Marquette Women Balancing Careers and Families” Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 11:30 a.m. in the third-floor ballroom of the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave. The event is part of Marquette University’s Centennial Celebration of Women. In 1909, Marquette became the first Catholic university in the world to offer coeducation as part of its regular undergraduate program.

The $15 luncheon is open to the public. Online registration and payment is available.

Moderated by Dr. Linda Salchenberger, James H. Keyes Dean of Business Administration, the panel comprises successful alumnae with a variety of backgrounds and career choices who share a common bond – they are all working mothers. These women will share their stories of how Marquette prepared them to be leaders in their fields and about their experiences balancing two of life’s greatest challenges.

The panelists are:
  • JoAnne Anton, state director, U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl
  • Kathryn Lauer, M.D., associate professor of anesthesiology, vice chair for clinical affairs, Department of Anesthesiology, Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Mary McDonnell, CEO, Geneva Trading USA LLC
  • Jill Morin, managing partner, Kahler Slater Architects
Media who would like to attend the panel discussion should contact Christopher Stolarski in the Office of Marketing and Communication at (414) 288-1988 or christopher.stolarski@marquette.edu.
