Marquette to host panel discussion on social innovation, entrepreneurship

MILWAUKEE – Marquette University will host “Innovation for Social Impact: Starting and Funding Solutions to Our Most Pressing Problems” on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the third-floor ballroom of the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave. The event will feature a panel discussion by four noted experts in the field of social entrepreneurship, including internationally recognized social entrepreneur
Jane Leu, who is the university’s first social entrepreneur in residence.
Attendance for the free, public event is limited and registration is required by contacting Laura Furey at (414) 288-5791 or laura.furey@marquette.edu.The panel discussion and subsequent audience question-and-answer period will explore how to take a vision from idea to implementation, how to raise capital for a social innovation and how social entrepreneurs blend the for-profit and nonprofit sectors in pursuit of greater impact.
