
Robert Glennon, author of a provocative book about the nation’s water crisis, will be the next guest for “On the Issues” with Mike Gousha at Marquette University Law School Tuesday, Dec. 8. The luncheon event will begin at noon in the Alumni Memorial Union ballrooms, located at 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Glennon will discuss his book Unquenchable: America’s Water Crisis and What To Do About It, which has relevance to a Milwaukee audience as the city tries to establish itself as a global water technology and research hub. Glennon, the Morris K. Udall Professor of Law and Public Policy at the University of Arizona, currently serves as Water Policy Advisor to Pima County, Ariz. He is a member of American Rivers’ Science and Technical Advisory Committee and serves as a commentator and analyst for various television and radio programs.
A reception will begin at 11:30 a.m. and his speech will last from noon to 1:30 p.m. The cost of the lunch is $15; registration is required and can be completed online.
Gousha, an award-winning journalist, continues his “On the Issues” series of provocative and insightful interviews with local and national public officials, journalist and other newsmakers throughout the year. A complete schedule is available online.
