MILWAUKEE – A panel including the presidents and CEOs from Assurant Health, Children’s Hospital, ProHealth Care and the James Company will discuss the issues confronting the health care industry at Marquette’s second annual health care forum April 20. The panel will be moderated by Mike Gousha.
A continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m. A brief welcome follows at 7:30 with the panel discussion beginning at 7:45 a.m. Panelists include:
Bob Connolly, Arts ’71, owner and partner of The James Co. As a small business owner, Connolly will talk about how his company and others like it have been impacted by health care costs.
Susan Edwards, President and CEO of ProHealth Care, leads a specialty and primary care provider that ranks among the most technologically and clinically advanced community health care systems in the country. Prior to ProHealth Care, Edwards was president of Banner Health System’s Arizona region, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems.
Adam Lamnin became President and CEO of Assurant Health in 2011. An 18-year specialty insurance executive, Lamnin led the company’s Health Care Reform Working Group that developed its business strategy for the future.
Peggy Troy, R.N., Nurs ’74, became president and CEO of Children’s Hospital and Health System in January 2009. Prior to Children’s, Troy was responsible for the strategic operations management of six major hospitals in the Tennessee-based Methodis LeBonheur Healthcare as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
