Chief Economist for Concord Coalition next guest for “On the Issues” at Marquette Law School
Event Information:Date: Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012
Time: 12:15 p.m.
Place: Marquette Law School, Eckstein Hall
Diane Lim Rogers, chief economist for the Concord Coalition, will be the next guest for “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Thursday, Oct. 11, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan Street.
Is the U.S. about to plunge off a fiscal cliff? What are the causes and consequences of our nation’s enormous deficit and debt problems, and what will it take to fix them? Are there key questions we should be asking our presidential candidates? Rogers will address these questions and more at the next “On the Issues” event.
Rogers has an important perspective on the fiscal challenges facing our nation. After working on Capitol Hill as a chief economist for key congressional committees, Rogers was a senior economist on the staff of the Council of Economic Advisors during the last year of the Clinton administration and the first 100 days of the Bush administration. In 2008, Rogers joined the Concord Coalition as the organization’s first chief economist, where she helps the grassroots, non-partisan organization advocate for long-term, responsible fiscal policy. She also writes the blog, economistmom.com.
Gousha, distinguished fellow in law and public policy and an award-winning journalist, continues his “On the Issues” series of provocative and insightful interviews with local and national public officials, journalists and other newsmakers throughout the year.
