Date: Thursday, Jan. 17
Time: 12:15 p.m.
Place: Marquette Law School, Eckstein Hall

Bevan Baker, City of Milwaukee Health Commissioner, will be the next guest for “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Thursday, Jan. 17, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan Street.

How can we lower infant-mortality rates that rival those of Third World nations? What's been the key to dramatically reducing teen pregnancies in our city? How is the city coping with the current flu outbreak? As Health Commissioner, Bevan Baker is leading the fight to address some of Milwaukee's most pressing public health challenges. He will discuss these issues and other initiatives underway when he takes questions from Gousha and the audience at Marquette Law School.

Gousha, distinguished fellow in law and public policy and an award-winning journalist, continues his “On the Issues” series of provocative and insightful interviews with local and national public officials, journalists and other newsmakers throughout the year. The spring 2013 schedule is also available.

Seating is limited; registration is available online. For those who can’t attend in person, all “On the Issues” events are streamed live online at the following website, which also contains a catalog of past guests.
