communications at American International Group, will discuss &ldquo;Crisis
Communication: Navigating AIG Through the Storm&rdquo; Tuesday, Feb. 23, in
the third-floor ballroom of the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W.
Wisconsin Ave. The free, public event will begin with a continental
breakfast at 7:15 a.m.; the program will start at 7:30. Registration is

Ashooh, who in January became vice president of corporate affairs at
Alcoa, led AIG&rsquo;s crisis communication response efforts during the
federal bailout of the insurance giant, which many observers deemed

MILWAUKEE – A California attorney and his wife will donate $2 million to Marquette University Law School for the construction of its new building, Eckstein Hall, Marquette President Robert A. Wild, S.J., announced Thursday.<br> <br> Wylie Aitken is a 1965 graduate of the Law School and founding partner of Aitken*Aitken*Cohn law firm in Santa Ana, Calif. Wild said Aitken and his wife, Bette, are longtime benefactors of the Law School, having earlier created the Wylie and Bette Aitken Law School Scholarship Fund.]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Little Rock Nine to receive Marquette University&rsquo;s highest honor]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<P>MILWAUKEE – Marquette University will confer the Pčre Marquette Discovery Award, the university&rsquo;s highest honor, on the Little Rock Nine in a special ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 4 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre, 1324 W. Wisconsin Ave.</P>
<P>Seven of the nine members of the Little Rock Nine are expected to be present for the awards ceremony. They are: Elizabeth Eckford, Ernest Green, Gloria Ray Karlmark, Carlotta Walls LaNier, Terrence Roberts, Jefferson Thomas and Minnijean Brown Trickey. Health concerns prevent Melba Pattillo Beals and Thelma Mothershed Wair from attending.</P>
<P>This is only the fifth time Marquette has presented the Discovery Award, which was created in 1969 as part of the Tercentenary Celebration of the exploration and discoveries of Father Jacques Marquette, a Jesuit missionary, in America. The award honors those who achieve an extraordinary breakthrough that adds to human knowledge or the advancement of humanity. Previous recipients include the crew of Apollo 11, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin and Michael Collins, in 1969; German theologian Rev. Karl Rahner, S.J., in 1979; Mother Teresa of India in 1981; and Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa in 2003.<BR><BR></P>]]></description>

Wisconsin Ave. As Marquette University&rsquo;s 2009/2010 Arnold L. Mitchem Dissertation Fellow, Turner will speak about his research on the transition to life after the NFL. The program is free and open to the public.&nbsp; </p> <p>Turner is a doctoral candidate in sociology at the City University of New York working to complete his dissertation.
