Marquette education in high demand Record number of applications received for 7th consecutive year Released: Jan. 18, 2007 The demand for a Marquette education has set a record for the seventh year in a row.  Marquette’s Office of Admissions has received more than 13,000 applications for 1,800 spots in the 2007 freshman class.  This year’s number represents a 16 percent increase over last year’s applications.   “More students than ever are seeking a Marquette education,” said Robert Blust, dean of undergraduate admissions.
