Guidelines for Usage
Over the years, a number of colleges, programs,
departments and centers have developed their own logos and seals.
These identifying elements have been used in a variety of ways, some
of which have confused the public. In an effort to achieve a unified,
recognizable public, visual presence for the university, the following
general guidelines have been established for using individual unit
logos and seals:
- Unit-specific logos or seals must never replace the Marquette University
logo as the primary university identifier. When a unit-specific logo
or seal is used as a graphic element in a visual presentation (e.g.
in a newsletter masthead), the university logo must also appear prominently.*
- Unit-specific logos or seals may be used within the approved university
stationery format (see stationery formats).
Unit Logos
When using the university logo with an individual unit title or designation,
the format (see example) is used and available from the Office of Marketing
and Communication. E-mail us for
to request unit logos.
