Our Chapter

Marquette's St. Joan of Arc chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary has had a strong tradition since 1993.

Our mission is twofold: We recognize those individuals and groups who serve the residence halls and university-owned apartments, and we foster growth of our residents through leadership development. At the St. Joan of Arc chapter, we strive to live out our mission to the best of our abilities.

We recognize those who go above and beyond with various Appreciation Days, Faculty Excellence Awards, Council Leadership Awards and Of the Month Awards.

To develop leadership, we organize TRAC (Training Residence and Apartment Councils), an event held in September that aims to develop council members' leadership skills. In January, we organize TRAC II, a skills refresher and team-building conference to jump-start the second semester.

Our chapter is composed of the top one percent of leaders in the residence halls and university-owned apartments who are dedicated to recognition, leadership and the improvement of our halls.

NRHH Selection

The limit for NRHH membership is one percent of the number of residents living in university-owned apartments and residence halls. To become a member, one must be nominated by an NRHH member or Residence Life staff member. After being nominated, a student must fill out an application and go through an interview process with current members.

Requirements for induction include living in the residence halls for one full academic year, current residence in a residence hall or university-owned apartment, a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.50, good standing with the university, and outstanding leadership and service in Marquette's residence hall community.

Through leadership in the residence hall or university-owned apartment community, our members display their abilities as the best and brightest student leaders on campus.
