About Marquette: Marquette is a private, Catholic, Jesuit university located in the heart of Milwaukee. Our campus is located on approximately 93 acres of land spanning from 9th Street on the East to 20th Street on the West and from Wells Street on the North to Clybourn Street on the South. We are truly a part of the city landscape as Wisconsin Avenue, a major Milwaukee street, bisects our campus, separating the academic and residential sectors. Marquette is home to approximately 8,100 undergraduate and 3,700 graduate and professional students, studying any of our 116 majors and 65 minors. Marquette has 9 residence halls and 5 university-owned apartment buildings on campus, which house nearly 4,500 residents.
About Milwaukee: The city of Milwaukee, the largest in Wisconsin, is located on the coast of Lake Michigan and is home to over 600,000 people. Once recognized largely for its brewing and manufacturing, Milwaukee is rapidly transforming into a very different city. It is a culturally rich city with a plethora of art, science, and natural history museums. The city has earned the nickname “The City of Festivals” for its variety of events held throughout the summer, including the Wisconsin State Fair and the ever popular Summerfest.
