Global Scholar Award New for the 2016-17 academic year, The Fulbright U.S. Global Scholar Award provides U.S. academics and professionals with the flexibility to engage in advanced regional or trans-regional research and/or teaching. As a truly worldwide award, U.S. scholars will be able to collaborate and engage in scholarly activities in two or three countries in one or more regions.

Dr. Richard Taylor

Dr. Richard Taylor, Professor, Philosophy, has received a Fulbright Global Scholar award to teach and perform research in Pisa, Italy, Istanbul, Turkey, and Ankara, Turkey. Over the next three years he will be teaching a course on "Aquinas and the Arabs", as well as continuing his research studies ancient Christian, Islamic, and Judiac religion.

   
Specialist The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) promotes linkages between U.S. scholars and professionals and their counterparts at host institutions overseas. Grant Duration: Two- to six-weeks. Rolling Roster Application Deadline.

Dr. Patrick McGilligan, Instructor of Digital Media and Performing Arts in the Dieterich College of Communication, received a Fulbright Specialist award to Ireland for teaching and research on US popular culture at the University College of Cork.
