Conference History and Mission
The Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU) Student Diversity Conference originated at Carthage College in Fall 2004. The Mission of the WAICU Student Diversity Conference is to provide a collaborative forum in which students, faculty and staff who participate can learn about differences, discuss diversity related issues and create an action plan for their respective campuses and communities.

2014 WAICU Student Diversity Conference
Marquette University is excited and honored to host this conference during its 10th anniversary and hope you will honor us with your presence and participation.

The 2014 WAICU Student Diversity Conference Planning Committee at Marquette aims to align the mission of the WAICU Student Diversity Conference with Marquette University's Mission and Statement on Human Dignity and Diversity. The planning team consists of students and staff who are dedicated to promoting diversity and social justice. Furthermore, we are committed to developing and using our skills to address social inequities and creating inclusive communities on our campus and in society. This commitment informed the theme for the upcoming conference: Using Our Differences To Make A Difference.

This theme calls us to recognize presence and value the contributions of all identities to affect positive change as leaders on respective campuses. We encourage you to participate in this opportunity to connect with peers who are dedicated to learning about diversity and social justice while developing their skills to create change as student leaders.
