Quiet Composure - In the Eye of the Beholder
This is a butterfly in the Butterfly Room at the Milwaukee Public Museum. I love how the colors and organic lines from its wings pop against the dull, geometric shapes in the background. While it is damaged, it continues holding on and remains beautiful in its struggle.
Welcome - My Community
The feeling of openness and welcome I have felt during my first year at Marquette is astonishing. I first saw this sign in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions when I shadowed during high school, and I was reminded every day of that sense of welcome I felt during that experience when I walked into work.
WE ARE MARQUETTE! - My Community
This is a panorama of the Marquette Fanatics community at one of the basketball games at the Bradley Center. Each time I look at it, I am reminded of the entire family of student, faculty, alumni, and Marquette enthusiasts that I can turn to for support in all my future endeavors.
Oh hello SNOW - My Home
I live in Abbottsford Hall this year. It’s the perfect environment for me, providing me a place to study, hang out with friends, and be a part of the community. I love how this picture emphasizes the distinctiveness of the sign– I feel it symbolizes the uniqueness of a Marquette student standing out against the ordinary black and white.
One Stop on The Journey - My Home
I took this picture during my first week at Marquette. When I look at it, I am reminded that this is my home for now, but that my experiences and memories at Marquette will take me on a journey into the unknowing future.
finding strength amidst beauty - My Faith
The Joan of Arc Chapel is a very sacred place for me. Tuesday and Thursday night masses are very special times for me to explore, strengthen, and share my faith with friends. It is the place on campus where, no matter what has happened during the day, I can find myself at peace.
A Sunset on 13th St. - My Home
A busy street corner that I pass multiple times per day, rushing from class to class, It's nice to be able to take a moment and appreciate the beauty of an autumn sunset.
