Learn About Your Leadship Style
Students Taking Active Roles (STAR) is a personal
exploration and leadership development program held
in the Fall
semester for Marquette freshmen. STAR focuses
on the information and skills necessary for effective
leadership as well as the many opportunities for involvement in
the Marquette community. Through STAR workshops,
activities
and a service project, participants can:
- learn more about themselves and others
- understand their own leadership style
- sharpen and develop specific perspectives and abilities
- determining which involvement opportunities best
suit their interests
- HAVE FUN!
Many STARs have gone on to become Orientation staff members, Resident Assistants, MUSG Officers and student organization leaders.
Why should you apply?
There are many benefits to participating in the STAR program. They include:

- learning about campus involvement opportunities
In addition, nearly 100% of STAR participants responding to surveys indicate that the program was an important part of their freshman year, and they would recommend it to others.
