Vision Statement

The vision of Multicultural Affairs is to foster a diverse and inclusive environment where all students can engage in meaningful relationships across differences with other students, faculty, and staff. We aim to support the understanding of and appreciation for diversity, and empower students to be critical thinkers and graduate as leaders who effect positive change towards a more just society.

Purpose of Multicultural Affairs

Multicultural Affairs exists to build a strong community for students from underrepresented racial, ethnic and religious communities, students in the LGBTQ community, and first generation students to:

• Develop self-awareness and a deeper understanding of the experiences of other students from less represented communities within the Marquette community;
  
  
• Expand their leadership skills and develop social and cultural competencies that will assists with their success at Marquette and beyond.
  
  
• Establish a stronger connection to the overall Marquette community.

Multicultural Affairs also exists to foster a campus environment where ALL students gain skills to interact, engage, and learn from each other across differences.
