Office for Civil Rights
The Office for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Education enforces Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. OCR has a pamphlet that explains the rights and responsibilities of students with disabilities preparing for college. The site also contains information on OCR's role in postsecondary education.

Guide for Parents
The Disability Services Office at the University of Montana-Missoula has a handbook for parents presented in a clear, concise and humorous fashion. Titled "Toto, I Have a Feeling We're Not in High School Anymore", the handbook takes parents through the transition issues when their sons and daughters are leaving for college. Although this guide has references to the specifics of UMT, many of the concerns addressed are common to all parents facing these questions for the first time.
