Test Taking - "This is a test, it is only a test."
Is this you?
"I knew everything when I got to the test, and then I blanked."
"I thought I was right, but when I got back the test, I was wrong."
"I shouldn't have changed my answer!"
At Marquette you are often being tested on much more than simple definitions or exact quotes from your lecture notes or books. Most often, instructors want to see if you studied not only what things are (definitions and information from notes and books), but also how things are related or how things are applied to real-world situations. The following are links to various types of tests, and tips to study for them:
- Multiple Choice
- Essay
- True/False
- Short Answer
- Open Book
These few tips should help you identify and prepare for various types of tests. Stop in the Alumni Memorial Union, Room 317 or call
