Milwaukee Community Peacemaker

Each year the Center for Peacemaking invites an accomplished local activist to be its Milwaukee Community Peacemaker. The Milwaukee Community Peacemaker mentors the center's Nonviolence Study Group, discussing social justice issues at Marquette as well as in local, national and global peace movements.

Teachers can also invite the Milwaukee Community Peacemaker to their classroom.

Like the Peacemaker in Residence, the Milwaukee Community Peacemaker gives a formal presentation to Marquette and the wider community about their involvement in the struggle for peace.

Milwaukee Community Peacemakers include:

  • Carlo Giombi (2012)
  • Julie Enslow (2009-2011)
  • George Martin (2008-09)
