Documentation of Teaching Program Requirements

The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Documentation of Teaching Program (DTP) provides graduate students with opportunities to learn about those aspects of being a faculty member that are often not addressed in graduate programs.  The primary goal of the PFF DTP is to inform graduate students about the various aspects of effective teaching.

The PFF Documentation of Teaching program addresses seven areas of professional development for those interested in academic careers.  Requirements for the program are met by attending a series of workshops and/or taking specific courses and/or working with a senior faculty mentor.  Students are responsible for maintaining their own records to verify completion of program requirements.  A Documentation of Teaching Handbook in which to record verification signatures and a professional portfolio must be submitted to the PFF coordinator to receive the transcript notation.  Documentation of Teaching Handbooks are available from the Graduate School.
