Dr. David Latham to present Annual Coyne Lecture

David LathamThe Physics Department is pleased to announce that Dr. David Latham from the Harvard - Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics will be presenting the annual Coyne Lecture on April 9, 2013. Dr. Latham will be talking about the search for Earth-type planets and life in our Galaxy and is a close, personal friend of Father Coyne. Click here for details.

The Coyne Lecture series honors the Rev. George V. Coyne, S.J. Fr. Coyne was director of the Vatican Observatory and is a Marquette alum. The lecture series is designed to promote interest in science and astronomy by bringing in in outstanding astronomer or astrophysicist to give a public lecture on current research.
