An organization of students which provides a forum for the discussion of pertinent facts and discoveries in all branches of physics, allows students the opportunity to engage in activities related to physics, and to generate public interest in the physical sciences.
The Marquette University Chapter of the Society of Physics (SPS) students engages in a variety of fun activities to promote physics. These include movie nights, journal clubs, outreach events with local schools, star nights, trebuchet launches, rockety building competitions, travel and more. They have won several Marsh White awards to build demonstration equipment and Outstanding Chapter awards from the National SPS organization.
Meetings are currently held on Mondays at 4 PM in WW PHYSICS Room 366. Anyone with an interest in physics is invited to attend. You can learn more, or contact the club at the MU Involvement Link. |
| Women in Physics |

This organization works to foster camaraderie among women physics majors and those with interest in physics at Marquette, to network with both women alumni and prospective students, to partake in outreach within the local community, and to host women speakers in physics every year.
The Women in Physics is engaged in promoting physics and in discovering the career opportunities the degree offers. They have hosted a variety of speakers, reached out to alumni, participated in outreach events with young women, and fostered camaraderie with fun events like bowling.
