The department completed its recruitment for the American Politics/Constitutional Law line in the fall semester of 2008-09. Mr. Stephen Engel (Ph.D. Cand. Yale University) will join the department in the fall of the 2009-10 academic year. Mr. Engel has published in and specializes in law and American political development. In the department, Mr. Engel will teach courses in American politics, constitutional law, and civil liberties. The Department of Political Sciences expects to make two additional hires, in international security and in urban public policy, during the 2009-10 academic year.
