Current undergraduate students
If you are a current Marquette student enrolled in the spring 2008 term and would like to take classes during the summer 2008 term at Marquette, you should:
- Register for classes via CheckMarq beginning March 3, 2008.
(Note: An appointment time is not needed to register for summer courses.)

If you would like to enroll in a course offered by the College of Professional Studies, please contact CPS at (414) 288-3153 or via e-mail.
Undergraduate Students Registering for Graduate Courses
If you are interested in enrolling in a 200-level graduate course, please visit the Office of the Registrar for more information.
Visiting/non-Marquette undergraduate students
If you attend another college/university during the academic year and would like the credits you take at Marquette during the summer to transfer back to your home institution

If you have been accepted to begin degree studies next fall at another college/university but would like to attend Marquette University this summer, you must:
- Complete and submit the Request for Eligibility to Register form
to the Office of the Registrar. - You may enroll only in those courses at Marquette for which you have completed the prerequisites stated.
- Your summer studies enrollment status is visiting student.
Please Note:
It is your responsibility to secure formal approval for the transfer of Marquette units to your home institution before registering at Marquette for summer study.
It is also your responsibility to request a Marquette transcript be sent to your home institution.

Non-Marquette Students
If you have never taken classes at Marquette but would like to this summer, you must:
- Complete and submit the Request for Eligibility to Register form to the Office of the Registrar.
- If you wish to continue at Marquette in the upcoming fall term, you must, in addition, file a separate Undergraduate Admission Application form.
- If you are taking summer classes for personal and/or professional development and at this time do not intend to pursue an undergraduate degree at Marquette University, your summer studies enrollment status is non-degree.
- You may only enroll in those courses for which you have completed the prerequisites.

Incoming undergraduate students
If you have applied to Marquette and have been accepted to begin in the fall 2008 term, but would like to start during summer 2008, you must:
- Complete the Request for Eligibility to Register form and sumbit it to the Office of the Registrar.
- Your summer studies enrollment status is degree.
Not Yet Accepted for Fall 2008
If you have applied to Marquette but have not been accepted yet and would like to take classes during summer 2008, you must:
- Complete the Request for Elgibility to Register form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.
- Your summer studies enrollment status is non-degree.
Summer Classes Through Professional Studies

High School Students
If you are a high school student who would like to take classes during summer 2008, you must:
- Have a 3.00 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative grade point average or better and have finished your junior year at an accredited secondary school (i.e. an accredited high school),
- Submit a letter of recommendation from your high school counselor and an official copy of your transcripts and your Request for Eligibility to Register form to the Office of the Registrar.
- Your summer studies enrollment status is non-degree.
- You may only enroll in courses without any prerequisite or in a course where the prerequisite has been completed in the previous summer session.
Current undergraduate students graduating in May 2008
If you are a current Marquette student enrolled in the spring 2008 term, have applied through your college to graduate in May 2008, and would like to take classes during the summer 2008 term at Marquette, you must:
- Complete the Application for Readmission and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.
- If you are taking summer classes for personal and/or professional development and at this time do not intend to pursue a second undergraduate degree at Marquette University, your summer studies enrollment status is non-degree.
- If you intend to pursue a second undergraduate degree at Marquette University, your enrollment status is degree.
- You may only enroll in those courses for which you have completed the prerequisites.

Previous undergraduate students
If you have taken classes at Marquette during a previous term but were not enrolled for the spring 2008 term, you must:
- Complete the Application for Readmission and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.
- If you are taking summer classes for personal and/or professional development and at this time do not intend to pursue an undergraduate degree at Marquette University, your summer studies enrollment status is non-degree.
- You may only enroll in those courses for which you have completed the prerequisites.
- If you intend to return for the fall or spring terms as well, please review the readmission requirements. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have any questions about readmission.
Summer Classes Through Professional Studies

Undergraduate Students Registering for Graduate Courses

Visiting Graduate Students
If you attend another college/university during the academic year as a graduate student and would like to take classes at Marquette during the summer 2008 term and have the credits transfer back to your college/university, you must:
- Apply to the Graduate School. Either apply online, pick up an application at the Graduate School, Holthusen Hall, room 305 or call (414) 288-7137.
- Pay the necessary application fee.
- Your summer studies enrollment status is temporary (valid for only one term).
- Register for classes via CheckMarq beginning March 3, 2008.

New Graduate Students
If you are not currently a Marquette student and not attending another college/university and would like to enroll in graduate-level courses during the summer 2008 term, you must:
- Apply to the Graduate School. Either apply online, pick up an application at the Graduate School, Holthusen Hall, room 305 or call (414) 288-7137.
- Pay the necessary application fee.
- Be admitted to the Graduate School on a non-degree status.
- Register for classes via CheckMarq beginning March 3, 2008.

Current UWM or MCW Exchange Students
If you are a student at UW-Milwaukee (UWM) or the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and want to take a class at Marquette under the MU-UWM or MU-MCW Exchange program, you must:
- Apply and be admitted to the Marquette Graduate School. Either apply online, pick up an application at the Graduate School, Holthusen Hall, room 305 or by calling (414) 288-7137. The application fee is waived.

Current G.S.M. students

Visiting/new G.S.M. students
Admission to the Graduate School of Management
If you are not currently a Marquette student, are not attending another college / university, and would like to enroll in graduate-level courses during the summer 2008 term:
- Apply to the Graduate School of Management (GSM)
- Pay the necessary application fee.
- Submit essays per the application.
- Submit your resume or job profile.
- Be admitted to the Graduate School of Management for the appropriate status of either degree or temporary non-degree admission.
New and Temporary admits to the G.S.M. programs will require advising and / or permission numbers to assist with the registration process. Once admitted, contact your assigned adviser for assistance. Contact information is included in the admission letter.
Register for classes via CheckMarq beginning March 3, 2008.

UWM Exchange Students
If you are a student at the UW-Milwaukee and want to take classes in the Graduate School of Management under the exchange program, you must:
- Apply and be admitted as a temporary non-degree student to the Graduate School of Management.
- Provide transcripts to the GSM (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
- Meet UWM requirements

Registration for GSM classes will require a permission number, be based on space availability for the course, and will be determined after the close of our early registration period.
Returning G.S.M. Students
If you were previously accepted to the Graduate School of Management on a degree status and did not register for classes during the spring 2008 term, but would like to take classes during the summer 2008 term, you must be readmitted to the Graduate School of Management.

If you are a Marquette Student that was enrolled in Dental, Law or Health Sciences Professional courses during the spring 2008 term and would like to enroll in classes this summer:

If you have never attended Marquette as a Law, Dental, or Health Sciences Professional student and would like to enroll in:
