Dr. Patrick Gunderson received his Ph.D. in the field of Clinical Psychology from Marquette University in 2009. Throughout his experience in graduate school, he gained a wide range of therapy and assessment experience at a variety of sites, including the Marquette Center for Psychological Services, Froedtert Hospital Child Neuropsychology, St. Charles Youth and Family Services, and St. Francis Children's Center. His dissertation was on the role of forgiveness in romantic relationships.
Currently, Dr. Gunderson is a senior therapist in the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL, specializing in depression and anxiety disorders. He runs a variety of therapy groups, works as a case manager, and facilitates music activities for the teenagers in program. In addition, as a member of the Alexian Speakers Bureau, he works with local grade and high schools to implement bullying interventions. Dr. Gunderson also has a private practice in Schaumburg, IL.
