Undergraduate Research Assistants

Keoni Bailey Keoni Bailey

Keoni is from Oshkosh, WI and is double majoring
in Psychology and Biomedical Sciences. His
research interests include minority stress, early
childhood intervention and multicultural counseling techniques. Keoni is particularly interested in
learning about best practices for addressing the
mental health needs of underserved populations
(i.e., racial minorities, undocumented immigrants,
and LGBT people). In his spare time, he enjoys his volunteer activities in Milwaukee area health clinics
and with an after-school program for high school students. After graduation, Keoni plans to attend
medical school with the intent of pursuing psychiatry
or surgery.

Richard Dempsey

Richard is from Cleveland, Ohio and is currently undecided on his major. His research interests
include psychology in autistic children and the LGBTQ community. At Marquette, Richard works as an RA in Carpenter Tower and at Gesu as a Sunday School instructor. In the summer, Richard enjoys working
as a camp counselor in Ossippee, New Hampshire. Richard's club involvement includes CPC, MUTV,
and MU Radio, as well as volunteering at Summit Educational Association in the south side of Milwaukee.

Mallory Miller Mallory

Mallory is from Orland Park, IL and is pursuing a
major in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in
Psychology. She joined the lab in spring 2017. In
her spare time, she volunteers with several Marquette clubs as well as in clinical settings around Milwaukee,
and is also involved in Greek life. She plans on
attending medical school after graduating.

Bridget McDermott Bridget

Bridget is from Midlothian, Illinois. She is in the
six-year DPT Program at Marquette University
and is pursuing a major in Exercise Physiology
with a minor in Psychology. Bridget’s main research interests concern the mental health of minority or underrepresented youth, particularly within the LGBTQ+ population. Around campus, Bridget can be found in Marquette’s Liturgical Choir, or in Saoirse, Marquette’s Irish Dance Team. After graduation, Bridget hopes to practice physical therapy for children with Neurological Disorders.

Megan NeisiusMegan

Megan is from Lees Summit, Missouri and is majoring
in Psychology with minors in Marketing and Human Resource Management. She joined the lab in Spring
2017 and is interested in researching the mental
health among collegiate and elite athletes, the uniquechallenges faced by LGBT athletes, and the
effects of stigma on help-seeking behaviors. She is
also interested in broadertopics such asresilience, motivation and leadership amonggroups, and
personality factors. Outside of class, Megan enjoys outdoor activities, exploring Milwaukee, and tutoring
local high school students. After graduation, she plans
to attend graduate school to pursue a career in School Counseling or Industrial/Organizational Psychology
Allison Warfield Allison

Allison is from Fox River Grove, Illinois. She is a senior and majoring in psychology. Outside of classes, Allison plays soccer and enjoys video games, card games, and board games. Her goal is to attend graduate school for school counseling.
