Fall 2009 Regular Academic Session 1
For All Undergraduate Divisions and The Graduate School
- Classes are designated by the first or only day of the week and the hour
which the LECTURE meets. Thus, a Monday-Wednesday-Friday or a Friday-only class that meets at 8:00 a.m.
is listed on the chart as "M-W-F 8" and the
examination is scheduled for Monday, December 14 from 10:30 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m.
- Day division courses that do not meet on the hour have their examination scheduled at the time of the "hour" portion of the actual meeting time. Thus, a Tuesday-Thursday 9:30 class would be scheduled for the "Tu-Th 9" examination time or a Monday-Wednesday 3:30 class would be scheduled for the "M-W-F 3" examination time.
- Under 5:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. examination periods, note carefully
the distinction between the one-day and two-day courses. A double
hour listing (e.g., 5:00-7:00) indicates that all courses that begin
ON OR BETWEEN the stated hours are scheduled for examinations at that
period. Thus, a Monday-only class that meets at 5:30 p.m. is listed
on the chart as "5:00 to 6:00 M-only" and the examination
is scheduled for Monday, December 14 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
- An asterisk (*) indicates a
specially scheduled examination for ALL sections of the course.

- Any subsequent necessary changes in this examination schedule will
be posted on faculty and student bulletin boards before the final examinations
begin.
- When a conflict is found in the examination schedule (i.e., two

be reported to the college/school in which you are enrolled.
- Changes due to emergency situations (i.e., the university closing
because of inclement weather, power outage, etc.) will be resolved by
the Office of the Provost.
- Until the third week of the term, the Schedule of Classes Change Request form can be used by the colleges and academic departments to request a classroom for final exam week if the instructor of the class wishes to offer the exam in a different classroom than the one in which the class itself is typically held. As of the third week of the term, such requests must be made with the AMU Event Management Office.
Final Exams on Snapshot: The final exam time for each course is also listed on the Snapshot of the Schedule of Classes.
