Checking for Prerequisite Courses You are responsible for making sure you have completed the necessary course prerequisites before enrolling in a course.  For example, undergraduates must take ENGL 1: Rhetoric and Composition 1 before enrolling in ENGL 2: Rhetoric and Composition 2. CheckMarq only checks and restricts prerequisites for majors and programs, class standing, and some selected classes. How Do I Check for Prerequisites? Before registration, view the Course Catalog and search for the course in which you wish to register. Click on the title of any course on the Browse Course Catalog page for course details.  Prerequisites will be listed in the Description section and/or the Enrollment Infomation section.
