Assistants
of Animal Care Facility
The Animal Care Assistants, usually students participating
in the College Work Study Program, perform the housekeeping
functions of the Animal Care Facility. They are given on the
job training, and daily verbal instructions by the facility
supervisor which may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, preparing
soiled equipment for washing and properly storing clean equipment.
An Animal Care Assistant also performs the weekend
duties. This involves a daily check of each animal
to insure a stable environment
and adequate food and water.
