Animal Care and Use
Research involving animals
must be approved by Marquette's Institutional Animal Care and
Use Committee (IACUC). The IACUC ensures that all research involving
vertebrate animals is performed ethically and in accordance with
all regulating agencies. The IACUC is registered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) in the DHHS.Currently Marquette University has
full
accreditation from the Association for Assessment and Accreditation
of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC).
