Fee Structure

The current fee structure in Appendix I is based on operating costs of the facility. Every effort is made to keep per diem costs to a minimum and yet consistent with adequate animal care requirements. Modifications in the fee structure are recommended by the IACUC and approved by the Academic Vice President.

Investigators opting for service level "C" but failing to maintain facility standards, may be denied use of the facility. If a problem arises, the investigator will be issued one written warning. If the problem persists, s/he will be subject to immediate expulsion from the facility. Reinstatement is conditional upon fulfilling all animal care obligations.

The Director of the Animal Care Facility will prepare an Annual Operating Cost Report to be sent to the Chairman of the IACUC, Dean of Biomedical Sciences, Graduate Dean and the Academic Vice President.
