Our Chapter
The St. Joan of Arc Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) at Marquette University has had a strong standing tradition since 1993.
Our mission is twofold: we recognize those individuals and groups who serve the residence halls and university-owned apartments, and we develop leadership skills of our residents. At the St. Joan of Arc Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary at Marquette University, we strive to live out our mission to the best of our abilities.
We recognize those who go above and beyond in various Appreciation Days, Faculty Excellence Awards, Council of the Year Awards, and our Of the Month Awards.
To develop leadership, we organize MULC in September. The Marquette University Leadership Conference, a conference aimed at developing the leadership skills of the council members at the beginning of each year. In January we organize MULC II, a refresher and teambuilding conference to jump star the second semester.
Our chapter is composed of the top 1% of the leaders of the residence hall and university-owned apartment community who are dedicated to recognition, leadership, and the improvement of our halls.
NRHH Selection
The St. Joan of Arc chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary inducts only the top 1% of student leaders on the Marquette campus. To become a member, one must be nominated by a current NRHH member or a Residence Life Staff member. After the nominations, applicants are asked to fill out an application and then go through an interview process conducted by current members.
The cap limit for membership in NRHH is 1% of the total number of residents living in university-owned apartments and residence halls. Because of this, standards are set quite high. Requirements for induction include living in the residence halls for one full academic year, current residence in a residence hall or university-owned apartment, a minimum cumulative QPA of 2.50 along with good standing with the university, and an outstanding display of leadership and service in the Marquette residence hall system.
A good NRHH member displays excellence in the fields of leadership and recognition. Through leadership in the residence hall university-owned apartment community, our members display their abilities as the best and brightest student leaders on campus.
