LT. COL. TERRANCE J. WOHLFIEL ASSIGNMENTS

Lieutenant Colonel Terry Wohlfiel is the Commander, Air Force ROTC Detachment 930, at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is responsible to the university president and the AFROTC Commander for recruiting, training, motivating and educating Air Force officer candidates. He is the senior Air Force officer on campus with dual responsibilities as Detachment Commander and Chairman of the Department of Aerospace Studies with rank of full professor, effective August 2007.


Lt Colonel Wohlfiel received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in May 1986. During his 21 year career as a Communications-Information Systems Officer, he has served in a broad spectrum of command levels spanning across four major commands and three joint commands. His most recent deployment was in 2005, where he served in Qatar for 130 days as the Combined Air Operations Center Systems Chief, leading 120 personnel supporting all communications systems and services for the operations center prosecuting joint air operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Director of Communications Systems, Joint Task Force Civil Support, United States Northern Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia.
