• UW-Milwaukee Men's Basketball featured Military Appreciation Night on 26 January 2012. Army ROTC sponsored ACU-patterned jerseys for both UWM and their opponent, Butler University.  In addition, the Golden Eagle Battalion, along with Wisconsin National Guard, hosted a VIP pre-game reception to welcome guests from Army ROTC, US Army Recruiting Command, Wisconsin National Guard, UW-Milwaukee Athletics, UWM’s Multicultural Center, and respected community members.  Players’ jerseys were auctioned off and proceeds went to the Multicultural Center’s textbook scholarship program.
