Marquette Army R.O.T.C. Wins
at Notre Dame National
Invitational Tournament
Marquette Army ROTC Men and Women’s Basketball teams scored big at the R.O.T.C. annual national invitational tournament two weekends ago at Notre Dame University. The Marquette Army ROTC Women’s team, led by Abigail Kassulke (’10 - Nursing Major) and Kristina Schmitt (’10 – Sociology Major) took first place over 13 other women’s teams making it the second year in a row the Lady Golden Eagles secured the first place victory.
The Marquette Army ROTC Men’s team, captained by Connor Brennan (’09 – Criminology Major) took a very respectable third place of 40 men’s teams from across the country.
Cadet Abigail Kassulke was recognized as the Most Valuable Player for women.
The cadets on the teams are Army scholarship winners and are projected to commission as officers in the United States Army upon graduating from college.
